Design Catnip is Patti Richardson. Patti recently graduated from Montgomery College, earning both an Associate of Arts and an Associate of Applied Sciences degree in Interior Design. Upon graduation, she was named the Board of Trustees Scholar for her campus' graduating class.

Much of her studies were in interior design, both past and present, textiles, kitchen and bath design, commercial and residential design, artistic rendering of interior spaces, and the emerging field of green design. She was also involved in more purely artistic classes including drawing, two-dimensional design, and jewelry design.

Patti has dabbled in web design informally since 1996, and because of her interest, took additional courses in web design while studying interior design.

In 2005, Patti was part of the Montgomery College Design Team that was chosen to participate in a room design at the National Symphony Orchestra's Decorators' Show house.

Since graduation, in addition to designing web sites for friends and clients, she has designed and implemented three children's bedrooms as part of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic.

Patti is fully capable of showcasing any business well, but feels uniquely qualified to showcase interior designers' work because of her studies and experiences.
